About Lori Tyson

Inspired by her mother’s antique business and her brother’s interior design background, Lori Tyson cultivated her innate sense of taste to create an effortless aesthetic design style. She embraces the notion that exceptional design is an intersection of architecture, art, psychology and beauty. To further enhance her design sensibilities, Lori extensively traveled and lived in France, immersing herself in European architecture and art. This cultural curiosity and passion led to a bonding with structural marvels, beloved artifacts and thought-provoking design that became part of her unique style. “Even when I enter a space that I have to design for a client, I listen to what that space says—the walls, the windows. You can’t change what that space wants to be.” – Lella Vignelli Lori’s versatile approach, discerning eye for beauty and solid foundation manifests itself in the diverse projects she takes on. Her commercial and residential projects include private estates, vacation homes, waterfront homes, restaurants and outdoor spaces such as patios, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces and complete interiors. Lori Tyson resides on Hilton Head Island and is always happy to discuss any design project. “My focus is on the client and overall feel of each project. If I’m staging a home to sell or renovating for updating, I always let the space speak to me in what it needs. My approach is finding that balance between what my client’s want and like and what the space actually needs.
